Since its inception in 1952, MIFF has presented a world-class program of Australian and international titles, from features and documentaries, to shorts, talks and multimedia works. It has also cultivated talent by connecting creators with industry and fostered a vibrant community of filmmakers and filmgoers.
But the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere is also a charity – and we need your help.

Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission. All donations made to MIFF are received on behalf of their public fund, the Melbourne Film Festival Fund. This fund is entered on the Australian Government’s Register of Cultural Organisations, and endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient. All donations and gifts of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
