MEN AT WORK (2006) [feature]

Iran (MIFF2007,Jaguar International Panorama)
Director: Mani Haghighi

“Cars pull up, shovels and chain saws are procured, and madness takes over.” - Variety The action is set on a precipice high up in the Iranian mountains. Four men on their way home from a failed skiing trip happen upon a monolith perched on the edge of a cliff. Male pride, male bonding and the male competitive drive are put to a series of physical and psychological tests by the rock. The more frantic the efforts of the men become to move it, the more the drama develops into an absurdist comedy. “A satire of masculine idiocy.” - Premiere
