Le Sel de la Terre (1951) [Short]

France (MIFF1953,In Poetic Style)
Director: G. Rouquier

The opening sequence gives a lyrical impression of the Camargue country at the mouth of the Rhone. The camera observation, the cutting, and music fuse into a nature poem as notable as Farrebique. As the film develops, its main purpose of discussing the need for irrigation becomes clear.
