From the Seattle Art Museum objects have been selected lo illustrate the historical sequence of Japanese aesthetic expression. These range from a prehistoric terra cotta burial figure to 18th Century scrolls. Camera and commentary dramatise some of the stories told in the paintings to the accompaniment of authentic Japanese siring music.
