The Poet's Eye (1964) [Short]

UK (MIFF1964)
Director: Gordon Hales

A tribute to Shakespeare made in connection with the quater-centenary celebrations. Extracts spoken from Shakespeare's work are blended with visuals of scenes in Britain today to capture the essence of the poets imagery. A sequence by Sir Laurence Olivier from Henry V is included, and traditional music is played on the lute by Desmond Dupre.
