After suffering a long-winded sales pitch, Meg buys a Jaguar that will help her make the regular visit to her parents in the country. Meg. however, soon realises that the car is haunted by a ghost — the victim of a murder. Meg's problems are only just beginning and as paranoia begins to take hold of her, the murderer appears and begins to stalk her. She gets little assistance from her flatmates — they are too preoccupied with their boyfriends to attend to Meg's problems. Slowly and surely, and despite her understandable nervousness, Meg takes practical measures to try to ensure her safety.
