Cradles (1992) [Short]

Canada (MIFF1993,Fiction)

Louise-Marie Beauchamp uses evocative images and haunting music to create a visual and aural poem. In six minutes, and without words, she tells the story of the formation and destruction of a relationship. But the focus is very much on the casualty of this destruction; the child is torn between two parents. This is succinct filmmaking by a filmmaker who has something to say.
