Another instance of the grisly Gothic, a forte of the fertile Kiwi (short) film culture. This Oedipal melodrama transposes an actual case reported in 1923 in a French newspaper to con­temporary Wellington where, under the shad­ow of Parliament, one nuclear family struggles to butcher its way through the economic reces­sion.
