RACHAEL CARSON'S SILENT SPRING (1993) [Feature]

USA (MIFF1995,Environmental Programme)
Director: Neil Goodwin

Picture a group of schoolchildren eating their lunch around a table. Within seconds a cloud of thick white smoke (DDT) engulfs them. Some of the images in this film will rock the sensibilities of the average 1990s person, but in 1950, Rachael Carson was one of the first people to question the impact of pesticides on the natural world.
