Kinetic H2O (1996) [Short]

Australia (MIFF1996,Experimental)
Director: Tony Woods

A painterly representation of mediated water seen through a full prismatic gauze of colour and bifocular distortion. The strobing and oscillation of ripples in a dark unnatural world are as ephemeral and solid as a vast body of water. The introduction of a feather changes the grid s course of movement. The fountain s steady voice is woven with incidental life-trams voices.

Kinetic H2O is cleansing in its exploration of images made possible with the videocamera and its mediation of water. (MS)
